Update for Dad

Sorry it took so long to post some new pictures of the kids for you Dad. We are all doing great. Just trying to get use to having Randi the lone girl at home. I've decided I don't like this phase of motherhood, when you send your kids off on their own! Last lake picture of the summerWelcoming Ric home from Mexico

This is Lani, dressed as a Ninja for Halloween. I'm pretty sure she enjoyed this a bit too much stabbing people with her samurai sword.

Skating is still one of Cody's greatest loves. He's been in a skating video, which he looks like a pro.Randi & her friends. She is enjoying her 1st year in High school. Making lots of good friends, getting straight A's, and growing up way too quickly.

Ric is playing on a intramural volleyball team at school. He's also on a soccer, racquetball, and tennis team. Luckily, he can still keep up with his 17 credits and grades. Of course he manages to keep up with his social life too.

Ric and his roommates, they have a very handsome apartment & I'm sure get a lot of dinner invitations from the gals.

More outdoor fun

We've enjoyed some sunny days (finally) in Spokane. Here's the latest:
Randi having fun at the lakeLani kayak tanningCamping at one of our favorite lakes

One of Lani's friends. After feeding him, we woke up to all his family, friends, and neighbors in our campsite.
Ric getting serious about his fishing
Lani pretending she got a fish, too bad you can see Randi in the background pulling on her line.
Randi got the only catch of the day!
Randi's creative personal bait; she smacks a dragonfly with a stick, then puts it on her line with her powerbait. She claims if she were a fish, she would eat it.
Another one of her creations with a worm this time. This was at Medical Lake a couple days ago.

To add more to our travel log, Lani & I went to Fargo, ND to cheer on Jordan at the National wrestling tournament. We had a lot of fun and Jordan did awesome!
Chandler & Lani looking pretty

We're trying to squeeze as much family fun time in before Lani & Ric head off to Utah & Idaho in September. We're hoping to be able to get all the kids together before they leave!

JUNE VACATION

We just returned from a fun-filled vacation to celebrate our wedding anniversary, birthdays, Lani's graduation, and Ric's return. We started out with a visit to see my Dad. My older brother Mike, just happened to be in town at the same time so he took us all out to lunch for a delicious Japanese meal.
We stayed with the Migdat's, our adoptive family. We spent a couple days at the Marriott Palm Desert Resort with them. We enjoyed the sun, swimming, tennis & games.
This is Wendy & I in the cabana reading, doesn't get much better than this! They had these cool cabanas you could sit in with a fan and cool mist that sprays down. It w.as so nice, especially in the 110 degree heat.

We then flew to Puerto Vallarta
Our resident Gecko in our hotel room
Sand sculptures, this one is the Last Supper
We visited 2 resorts, this one is Villa de PalmarThis resort gets our vote...Paradise Village resort
Lots of pool time

This is our boat we went on...no, it's not the big one, it's the smaller one
in front of the cruise ship :)
This is where we snorkeled, it was awesome
Fellow snorkelers
Our favorite part was being on the beach, the water was so warm
Pooped ourselves out & had a very early flight back to CA
Back to the beach, this time Bolsa Chica our old stomping grounds
Emma
Ric & Abby waiting for the 4th of July parade in LaVerne
We miss you Migdat's!
And of course, it wouldn't be a Sherman vacation without lots of ping pong!
