Elder Ric

We were able to speak to Ric yesterday! It was entertaining listening to him trying to remember how to speak English. He wished me a "Happy day for Mothers". He sound great and is loving his new area and companion. He has been in Leon, which is a lot more populated than his last area. He is also training a new Elder also from the west side of Washington. The missionaries are again sacrificing Preparation days for this month in order to reach their teaching goals. In his last email, Ric said he has never been so tired, yet happy.
As far as the "swine flu", church services were cancelled a couple weeks and now the missionaries are not allowed to wear ties. The Mexican gov't think the virus can be carried around on their ties, so they are forbidden from wearing them. I don't think they mind especially with the heat over there.
This is a picture of Ric and Pres. Cox (his mission president)
having a push up contest.

It was probably the missionaries started that rumor about the ties!
