Ric's very last email !!! (he comes home 6/5)

ohhhh boy... i dont really know what to say. im really starting to feel weird. thank you mom and dad for the great emails... you guys have been faithful ever week to fill up my missionary battery. i cant believe this life is coming to an end. ill give you a recap of last week.... we were having a rough time finding people so my companion and i fasted on tuesday and wed... praying for a miracle and looking to find the elect. tuesday night the plead was answered as always. we found a ex-missionary dad that has been inactive for years. the family is great, but the wife and kids never have even heard the restoration or the book of mormon.. nothing! so we got to know them and taught the message of the restoration. (around my 4,000th time teaching it) i cant describe the spirit and joy i have teaching the message of the Restoration, even after so many times i can feel the spirit bear the solid witness of its truthfulness. the family went to church and are reading and praying, the mom was crying.. i LOVE this work! something so precious we know of, we also taught another family saturday night and invited them to church... they all went and loved it. Miracles exist, God listens to His children. friday the patriarch invited pte. cox, the assistants and us to a barbeque to say good bye.. it was deliciousmmm and in the night we had a couple baptisms! a perfect week, they got confirmed yesterday and the bishop invited me and elder trejo (his last sunday too) to give our testimonies. it was a rough sacrament meeting, all the songs we sang had something to do with departing, i have about a year in this ward and the love for the members and bishop is ridiculous. the last song we sang was "God be with You Till we Meet Again" and i lost it... i confirmed two of the converts that i had the privilege to teach and baptize. two converts that a couple months ago didnt have a clue about the gospel and had addictions and about to loose their families.. there they were, in white shirts and ties, worthy men confirming together. and seeing the members that we were praying everyday and night for that are there everyweek in the church happy as can be. I cant believe all this is coming to an end. when we sang ¨God be with you till we meet again¨ it reminded me of the other side of heaven when the missionary is leaving..
but life rolls on, well see each other after this life. and of course im excited to see my FAMILY!!!! ha, i cant believe ill be sitting in church with you guys on sunday. today we have zone council,... the last one... today and tomorrow. my last work day is thursday, friday we have interviews with president, and dinner and all that jazz, then saturday its dooms day... ill probably be pretty out of it so bare with me lol.
an elder was messing up so right now were in a threesome again for a little bit... hes a good elder its just sometimes they get lost and distracted. the water situation is under control.. im excited to bathe with warm clean tap water. im scared to go to the doctor and dentist, after we might not be able to go on vacation, maybe well have to downsize the trip to riverfront park after the bill.
I love you guys so much... the mission have changed my life, i will never be the same and i know God comes first in everything, im scared about the journey of life that for sure but ill always have my family to get by back. you hoodlums take it easy this week... well see ya in the weekend!!!
love elder sherman
