Fishtrap Lake

Cody and I hiked into Fishtrap lake last weekend. It was an adventure because we were guessing on where we were going. It was only a 3 mile hike in 2 1/2 out, but Cody was as able to break in his new backpack and dad was able to make the hike without totally colapsing at the end of the hike. We fished on both days but the first day dad was catching lots of small catfish (they are one of the uglest fish alive). Then on Saturday after breakfast we hike north along the lake and tried our luck again. This time we caught lots of rainbow trout. All in all it was a fun campout with great weather. We had originally planned to go to northern Idaho, but weather reports said only near Spokane would be the best so we ended up at Fishtrap lake which has lots of land owned by BLM. We got a little worried when we heard the coyotes making noises but they never got close to where we were camping.
