The week before I left for Australia, Spokane got hit with a huge snow storm. I arrived in Australia to beautiful warm temperatures. It was so nice to de-thaw. This is the bay which was viewable from the window where I stayed for a week (I didn't get any pictures of the beach front hotel where I stayed the week before, believe it or not I was too busy working!). There was a 1.5 mile trail that went around the parimeter of a point that start by the apartment that was amazing. But there was an occasional creature block in the path.
My host's comment was: "those are just common house spiders." Yeah, right... I did get a chance to go surfing in the 70 + degree water. Check out the smile on this surfers face!
When we reached the point on the trail I just mentioned it had a great view of downtown Sydney with a view of the opera house just across the bay. Cheers mate!

Hmmmm. I was under the impression Dad was slaving away in Australia, having to endure long delays in airports and crowded airplanes. He looks pretty dang happy standing next to his rental board.
Dad looks happier next to a surfboard than he does in most family pictures.
